I returned my products within the 30 day agreement - the company said if this wasn't for you - they would take back the package you ordered within the first 30 days - which I did. They are still trying to collect from me $1100. Unbelievable. This company does not stand behind their agreement. I have nothing and they are still threatening to turn me over to a collection agency.

Well, To start with I ordered my memebership kit from SMC which was about $25 at the time that was ok, but then they told me I have to put their catalog in different shops or stores where people would sit in a waiting room. Then I called them and told them that I was'nt making any monies.

So after spending $2500 on that, SMC told about their website programs. They told me about how fast I could make money over the internet. Well, I Didn't know any better and so I went on and got the basic website which was about $1500. I'm trying to make this true story short. After awhile of being on internet, mind you, I had already spent a lot of money.

I called SMC and told them that after 3 months, I had made nothing. They told me that I needed to UPGRADE, so I did. It cost me $3500. After a year and $14,000 I have made nothing! I am in the process of trying to get at least some of my money back, but that is very hard to do!

SMC Corp misleading. They take money from your bank acct. when it is empty. They chg. $40/mo. Then start charges of $30 for some "computer" use(?), they tell you the basic start-up cost is so much for such a time, actually they take money from your acct. for ever and ever. SMC is a rip off bunch of liars. Do not believe what the person on the phone promises you, they are scammers, they will steal your bank acct. bone-dry!

I had seen the ads on tv so I called for information. In about two weeks I received a package in the mail with books and other information. I told my husband about it and he looked it over.

They were going to take payments out of the bank account in the amount of about $11.00/mo, so he agreed to let me try. About three or four days later a bill he had paid bounced. Knowing he had the money in the account he went to the bank. It turns out that SMC had taken the whole 300 and some dollars out of his account all at once.

He got ahold of them and between him and the bank got all of the money back. We talked it over and figured if this is how they treat new buyers then it probably wasn't for us. We sent all of their materials back and thought it was over. Now almost a year later they are still hounding us for that money. We've called and have had the problem "resolved" a couple of times. Now I just got a new letter saying they are going to sue us.

This is what you call a respectable company?_____________________________

about a year ago I caught the infomercial on TV as I was getting ready to go to work. after watching some of it I thought it looked like a good opportunity. having just bought a house, I was looking for an easy way to pocket some extra cash. so when I got home that evening I called the 800 number TO GET MORE INFORMATION.

it should have been a huge red flag when the salesman kept hammering that "this price might not be available later" when I kept telling him I couldn't afford that at the time and I just wanted them to send me some information. he must've caught me in a weak moment because I relented and bought in and the second level - I couldn't afford the first level, no matter what.

they sent me the catalogs I'd get with my package; after looking at them I thought maybe this one would work after all. the catalogs have some really nice things in them. after reading the "how-to" books I had some really good ideas on how to work it. unfortunately none of the ideas really panned out for me; I simply didn't have the time to do a lot of the follow-up and legwork required at the time.

then there's the matter of "coaching" - the first person I was assigned to never called me! even after having 2 call times set up!

I called and got a second "coach" assigned to me and I did talk to her a couple of times. as it's been several months, I don't really recall what she said, other than that I seemed to have a good plan. yeah, OK, I already knew that.

then there's the matter of setting up a website. which you will PAY $29.95 A MONTH for. cripes, you can pay far less than that for one year for a website with other hosting deals! OK, it's a fairly nice if bland site; just a rehash of the catalogs.

in fact it IS the catalogs, online, where a customer can go to look at them online. then the "website minions" start calling and calling and calling, wanting you to pay several THOUSAND dollars to get hits driven to your website! I kept telling them look if I HAD the amount of money you're wanting me to pay you to help me make money, I WOULDN'T BE HERE!!!!

I did manage to do the smaller of the packages they wanted to sell me, which had a "guaranteed" number of hits per week. but for some reason they never charged my card, or else they charged it later, by which time I'd put more stuff on the card and it declined. they also never called me again, either, asking about it. you also have to go thru the IRS to get a tax ID number, which I am thinking (I never did it) ALSO costs money to do!

I tried calling them again but never got a response so I cancelled the site. when I cancelled, prior to cancelling the site I contacted my bank to tell them that paticular automatic withdrawal was no longer authorized by me as of 1 Oct 08. then I emailed the website people and cancelled. to their credit, they did indeed cancel, sending me a confirmation email. the site is still up, though I doubt if anyone can order from it.

so let's total it all up - there's the $39.95 per month for one year just to join, which amounts to $479.40; $29.95 per month for the website, for 8 months, total 239.60; plus $1420.88 for various and assorted other stuff.

so let's see, after a bit less than a year, I've spent $2,139.88 for this mess and made less than $150.00. I did have some sales HERE AT WORK initially, and people that told me they wanted to order some stuff, but they never got around to doing it.

My advice on SMC, if you've got 5 - 10 thousand laying around to sink into start-up costs, this wouldn't be a bad idea; like I said the stuff in the catalogs is nice and a good price. but the infomercial is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY misleading. they never mention all of the start-up charges you can expect to incur. this might not be a bad small business for a retiree. but if you're just looking to put some extra money in your pocket, and don't have much money, forget it.

Hello,

I tried SMC once, I used ebay which seemed tobe loaded with SMC merchandise already.. I tried selling an array of theirproducts with little to no luck.. I lost more money than i made with SMC..

I wouldnt use them unless i had the time and money to advertise and market theproducts. SMC websites they give you all look similar, and when i see a bunch ofdifferent companies with the same website.. it makes me think twice about whati'm buying.. i usually go elsewhere.
